Hurricane Restaurant Special Events & Catering
Wine Dinners - The Hurricane Restaurant Wine Dinner Series has become famous with wine lovers in Maine and from away. These irregularly scheduled dinners are held on Thursday evenings at least once a month in the fall and spring. Winemakers from around the world bring their latest and their greatest to pour for you, as Hurricane serves a five- or six-course meal to compliment the featured wines for each course. The evenings start at 6:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and last until dessert and dessert wine are served. The winemakers act as hosts and emcees, assisting you in your tasting discoveries. All this for just $55, tax and tip included (the latest price, subject to change as seasons go by). It's the wine-and-dine deal of the century! Reservations are required. Chef's Night - Every Monday night in the "off" season is Chef's Night at Hurricane Restaurants. It's a night for our chefs and pastry chefs to stretch their wings and try some new things, as well as feature some of their favorite past and present appetizers and desserts. And the best part is - we give them away. That's right, knock the seaweed out of your ears! Hurricane Restaurants Chef's Night features free appetizers and desserts with your entrée. That's a three-course meal for the price of the entrée alone. Add a salad and a glass of wine, and all of a sudden you're making Monday more than just that frequently maligned start of the week. You're making Monday Chef's Night! As always, reservations are suggested.
Holiday Dining - We are closed on Thanksgiving and from about mid-December to mid-February, but on all the other special days, you'll find Hurricane Restaurants eager to make your holiday dining truly special. Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, Red Sox Opening Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, and Halloween - Hurricane Restaurant prepares special menus appropriate for every occasion. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we offer our full dinner menu all day. Reservations, of course. Public Suppers - Okay, here's the deal: Hurricane Public Suppers are held every Tuesday night off season. It's an opportunity for a lot of the locals to come in, have a fabulous meal selected from a limited menu at a very affordable price. The conversation very often turns to politics, rumors, opinions, gossip, debate and discussion. It's the price you pay for getting the deal on Hurricane's great comfort food creations in the dead of the off season. Says who? Says me! Catering & Group Dining - If we can make it here, we can make it anywhere. We've cracked lobsters for presidents, clambaked for celebrities, roasted for high rollers and shucked for the hoi polloi. We'll serve special groups in our dining room or we'll load up our chafing dishes and travel to the far corners of the earth.
